My mother is the probably person who knows me the best. She has always loved me unconditionally, from the first moment she held me in her arms.

She's always watching out for me, making sure I'm doing ok. She's willing to have discussions at length on any number of concepts — discussion which usually end up involving a learning experience for one or both of us. She loves her garden and she's building a "food forest," and can talk at length about the needs and benefits of each plant.

My mother works tirelessly to give me and my brother all the opportunities and good things she can. I have no idea where and how she finds the drive and the time to do everything she does, from intense paperwork to cooking to in-depth research to develop well-informed opinions on everything from politics and social movements to nutrition and medical terminology. My mother is a force to be reckoned with.

This piece was written for my mother's birthday. It's the longest track I've ever produced — I wanted to make sure it was complete and perfect before I gifted it. Happy birthday, mom. I love you.
